Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, with Quotes

$325.00

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire; Arthur a Levine, Imprint of Scholastic, Hardcover, Street Date August 1, 2000

Jacket design by Mary GrandPre and David Saylor

As for the one of a kind paintings themselves, Mandy Howard begins with clamping the book between two pieces of wood, followed by mapping out Hogwarts and the arrival of the Beauxbaton’s carriage and the Durmstrang ship, as well as a close up of the Goblet of Fire. There is a quote painted on each of the smaller edges, the top reads “Soon we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy” and the bottom reads “No good sittin’ worryin’ abou’ it. What’s comin’ will come, an’ we’ll meet it when it does”.

Using watercolor paints and spraying each painting with matte varnish, the completed artwork is protected from dust. Due to the pressure from the clamps, the paint does not seep past the edge of the page.

While the pages can still be turned, this is recommended to be purchased as a decorative addition to your personal library, rather than to be read. This is due to the fact that the oils on our hands can damage the painting over time.
